CHIEF Executive Officer (CEO), Benin Medical Care (BMC), Dr. Oluwagbemiga Durojaiye, has charged Nigerians on regular medical checkups, the alarming poverty level in Nigeria, notwithstanding.
Acknowledging the harsh economic realities in the country, the expert regretted that some Nigerians no longer access medical services due to financial straits thrown up by the waning economy.
He said BMC was bridging the gap with a view to ensuring that Nigerians still get adequate medicare in this troubling period.
Oluwagbemiga, who was briefing newsmen in Benin City on activities heralding the official commissioning of BMC’s world-class Health Assessment and Eye Clinic, a privately-owned medical facility operated by LAPO Group, explained that the wellness project consists of a range of screening and disease prevention services for apparently healthy individuals.
The medic reiterated the hospital’s commitment to provision of quality healthcare for all. He expressed satisfaction that the facility is fast meeting the healthcare needs of the people of the South South geopolitical region.
